| Torreira's natural conditions offer two different environments: The Sea and the "Ria" are separated by approximately one land mile which makes it possible for you to enjoy these beautiful and unique landscapes at the same time.
The Sea
The beach with its long sand dunes allows us to enjoy our privacy and, at the same time, socialize.
Torreira beach is cheerful, coloured and picturesque, with typical handmade fishing, the "Xávega". It is famous by its excellent iodised water. Blue flag beach. That's why this beach has been constantly given "The Blue Flag", Beach Quality Symbol.

The "Ria"
"Ria de Aveiro" is the result of the backing of the sea, with the formation of coast cords, which after the XVI century made a lagoon. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the Portuguese sea coast. The "Ria" was very important in the development of agriculture, fishing, naval construction, salt industry and trade.
"Moliço" was, for a long time, the main land fertilizer. It was caught in "Ria" by the traditional "Moliceiros", beautiful, coloured, hand painted boats.They are the symbols of the region. The "Ria" has got a very rich fauna and flora and it is extremely important from the ornithological point of view.
